Learn the Classics at home

♦ INDIVIDUAL OR SMALL-GROUP CLASSES

♦ ACTIVE, MODERN-LANGUAGE METHODOLOGY

♦ LITERATURE CLASSES IN LATIN AND GREEK

♦ BIBLE AND CHRISTIAN AUTHORS CLASS

Our goal is to assist those in learning the classical languages who are either unable to attend face-to-face courses or simply prefer to learn from home and thereby take advantage of both the convenience and efficiency of online learning.

We offer various teaching options: video call classes (either for individual students of groups of two or three), radio classes and video courses. In addition, our students have exclusive access to learning tools such as notes, teaching materials, and interactive exercises online.

Saint Jerome, Caesar, Virgil, Cicero, Livy, Plautus, Ovid, Catullus, Horace, Sallust, Saint Augustine, Aristophanes, Sophocles, Herodotus, Plato, Aristotle, Saint Luke, Homer and so many more are waiting to speak once again.

Classics at home

Individuals lessons meet at least once a week for 1h30 via Skype or other video conferencing programs. The only things needed are a high-speed internet connection and a computer with a microphone. Our teaching follows an active, natural approach.

In the Latin classes we use the books from the series Lingua Latina per se Illustrata by Professor Hans Henning Ørberg. In the Greek course we use ΑΘΗΝΑΖΕ books.

In accordance with Stephen Krashen's Comprehensible Input Hypothesis the first goal of instruction is for the student to understand as many meaningful and compelling messages in the target language as possible, first passively (through reading and listening) and then, when it is expedient, actively.

Students enrolled in any of our courses have exclusive access to our interactive Latin exercises.
